Annual Meeting Lodging

The Fairmont Scottsdale is the site of this year's meeting. The AAA Five-Diamond hotel offers outstanding meeting facilities, three restaurants, five pools, a nationally-renowned spa and two 18-hole golf courses.

Rooms are available at a group rate of $149 per night for a single or double occupancy. Rates are subject to an 11.92 percent occupancy tax and a $30 charge for each additional person sharing a room. There is also an additional one-time $12 resort fee to cover round trip porterage and a $2 per person daily charge for housekeeping services. All taxes and gratuities are subject to change without notice. Reservations must be made by July 30, 2008. Group rates will be sold on a "first come" basis. Attendees are responsible for making their own reservations.

Getting There

Airline
United Airlines is offering a 7 to 15% discount off applicable published fares when tickets are purchased 30 days in advance. Tickets purchased less than 30 days in advance will receive a 2 to 10% discount. Reservations, schedule and ticketing information may be obtained by calling the MeetingsPlus Reservation Center at 1-800-521-4041, Monday thru Friday 8:00 am - 10:00 pm ET, or Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am - 8:00 pm ET. The center is closed on all major holidays. Refer to the MeetingsPlus ID #576ZQ.

Taxi and Shuttle Service
Once you land, The Fairmont Scottsdale is approximately 26 miles from the Phoenix airport.

• Taxicabs are approx. $50 one-way.
• Super Shuttle provides door-to-door service and is approx. $23 one-way.

Getting Around in Scottsdale

Car Rental
NOTE: GHSA strongly urges attendees to consider renting a car, as there are few attractions within walking distance of the hotel. Hertz is the official car rental company for the meeting and will offer discounts of up to 20% off the applicable rental rates when reservations are made in conjunction with United Airlines air reservations. Please use Hertz Discount number CV02R300006. The hotel has a contract with a car service that allows up to four people to ride in one sedan with sample rates such as:

In early September, Scottsdale temperatures range from an average low of 65°F to an average high near 100°F. Recommended meeting attire is business casual. Note that the Opening Reception and State Night Dinner will both be outdoors in the evening.

Parking
Parking is available at the hotel at no cost if you self-park or $25 a day for valet parking.
